I hope everyone is having an amazing start to 2020—I have a feeling it’s going to be a great year! The idea of a fresh start is really exciting…there’s always a feeling of positivity and hopefulness that is so motivating to me. I stopped making New Years resolutions a long time ago…it started to become counterproductive because I would get so upset at myself if I didn’t follow through so it defeated the purpose of making resolutions in the first place. Instead of cutting out carbs or vowing to go to spin everyday, I wrote down a list of goals to work towards…things that may not—probably not—be achieved this year or even the next, but motivating to me nonetheless. I also wrote down a list of reminders to carry through with me this year like remembering to be thankful and to continue to push myself outside of my comfort zone…things that seem like no-brainers, but often get lost as life happens. Another one of my intentions was to be more financially responsible which is SO difficult when you’re a fashion blogger with expensive taste but thanks to websites like SHEIN, you don’t have to sacrifice fashion in the name of saving money! I’ve always loved mixing high and low end fashion and SHEIN allows me to do that by making all of the current trends attainable and affordable! I’ve been shopping at SHEIN for years and it just keeps getting better and more relevant. I can focus on spending money on investment pieces that I’ll wear for years and incorporate inexpensive, trendy pieces that I can wear once or twice without feeling guilty. Lets be real, I’m not going to spend $1500 on a pink fringe tweed blazer and skirt set but I will TOTALLY spend $39 which was the price tag on this one! Ya’ll know I can’t resist a matching set but I will 100% be re-styling this blazer with jeans and heels and this skirt with a t-shirt and sneaks…so much versatility for under $40.
